The DEAM Team represented at the 2026 Hunger Walk!! Shoutout to Holly, Nancy and Ashley, plus not pictured, Kenny and his wife Viviane. They all braved the misty rainy weather and walked for DEAM. So far, the team has raised $8787. We are still shooting for our $10,000 goal and it is not too late to donate. Click the link for our DEAM donation page.

ARE YOU ON “THE DEAM TEAM”?

DEAM is participating in the 2026 Hunger Walk/Run and we need your help! The money raised from last year’s Hunger Walk/Run has paid for all of DEAM’s deliveries from Atlanta Community Food Bank and helped us provide protein, dairy, fresh fruits and vegetables, and other essentials to seniors and neighbors in need. Thanks to your generosity, DEAM served 192,823 pounds of food in 2025 and provided $178,437.39 in utility and prescription assistance! Please help us meet our goal by making a donation or joining the team!

With the funds raised from last year's Hunger Walk Run, DEAM has been able to keep our client choice food pantry fully stocked while freeing up funds to provide utility assistance for our neighbors!

Happy New Year from DEAM! We know you haven't heard from us for a bit but please know we have been working hard. First of all, thank you to all our volunteers and supporters in 2025. You are amazing and what keeps DEAM running. Here is a brief recap of 2025:

DEAM visits included 3100 to the pantry and 14,600 unhoused lunches. Utilities paid included: $149,000 electric, $13,800 gas, $5800 water and $9000 in Rx assistance. DEAM is small but definitely mighty.

Nov. and December were phenomenal also, In November we served 200 neighbors at the 2nd annual Friendsgiving. Hot thanksgiving lunch with turkey, chicken, sides and plenty of pies. Other fabulous support included: Beacon Hill Middle School & Winnona Park students who collected and packed over 135 lunch bags for the unhoused, Decatur High School Student Govt. who organized a food drive and collected over 1200 lbs of food, Girl Scout Troop #22104 collected and packed over 40 lunch bags. And a huge shout out goes to Isadora Pennington, Director of Avondale Arts Alliance for her initiative in organizing a continual food and supplies collection through her organization. They have already donated over 1300 lbs of food and supplies!

And thank you to all who have donated through our giving page or through a porch donation. We are so grateful.

Now on to 2026!! THE HUNGER WALK....more information to follow!
