Most people experiencing homelessness don't choose to live without a home—it's often the result of a crisis such as a job loss, escaping violence, a health emergency or some other trauma. But for many who find themselves homeless, they don't know where to turn. That’s why our supportive housing programs focus on immediate stability and wraparound support for people to escape homelessness.

Frederick spent more than two years without a home, not knowing where he would sleep or whether he would feel welcome when he stayed with friends.

“Just being homeless, not knowing where you’re going to sleep,” he said. “Even people looking at you certain ways, saying certain things to you. People not really wanting you there.”

After being connected with CaringWorks, Frederick, now 25, is thriving. Read his story and how consistent support helped him find stability and a fresh start: caringworksinc.org/fresh-start
