🏆 Celebrating a great fall season for Arbor's Phoenix Athletes! 🏃‍♀️🥏

Our Cross Country teams brought home a championship first-place finish for the girls and second place for the boys, with two individual first-place finishes, too! 🎉

Meanwhile, our Ultimate Frisbee team played strong all season, showing up with teamwork, determination, and Phoenix pride.

We’re proud of all our fall athletes for their growth, perseverance, and the way they support one another on and off the field. Way to go, Phoenix! 🔥

Roots to Grow & Wings to Soar 🕊

Inside the Ironwood Building, our beautiful new lobby tree has been installed by the team at Pegleg Studio. First envisioned by the architects at Studio Sogo and alum parent Steve Georgalis in early 2025, the tree sculpture honors the late David Minnix, an Arbor alum and parent. David's philanthropic vision remains as an integral piece in Arbor's fundraising efforts.

Campus improvements and special projects like these are made possible by parents, through their support of the Annual Fund. Gifts to the Annual Fund provide essential support beyond tuition, allowing Arbor to invest in the people, programs, and spaces that make our school community thrive.

Montessori educators see the world as an interconnected whole, shaped by people, places, cultures, nature, and history.

As we recognize Indigenous Peoples’ Day, Arbor recognizes the importance of learning about the people and cultures connected to where we live and learn.

Through geography, history, cultural studies, and time spent exploring the natural world, Montessori students develop a deeper understanding of their place in the world and their relationship to others.

These experiences nurture curiosity, respect, and a sense of connection, all of which help children become thoughtful members of their communities.

🔥 Phoenix Friday Student Spotlight: Morning Safety Patrol

Safety Patrol gives our Upper Elementary students the opportunity to take on a meaningful responsibility in the Arbor community during morning carpool.

Each day, these students help support a safe and organized carpool arrival for our Primary students, while practicing leadership, awareness, responsibility, and service to others.

Small, consistent responsibilities like these help students grow into capable, confident members of their communities.

Thank you to our Safety Patrol students for helping morning carpool run smoothly! ❤️

Through reading, children explore experiences, perspectives, cultures, and ideas beyond their own. During Banned Books Week, we celebrate the ways reading nurtures curiosity, empathy, and a deeper understanding of our world.

At Arbor, our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice means creating a community where every child and family is valued and respected. Teachers give students opportunities to encounter a wide range of voices and experiences through the books they read and the conversations they share.

We’re grateful for the stories, perspectives, and discussions that help us continue learning from one another. 📚
