Founded in 1970, Arbor is one of the largest Montessori schools in the Southeast—the flagship of Montessori education in Atlanta. One at 2998 Lavista Road and the second at 1434 Scott Boulevard. The school includes one Toddler classroom, four Primary classes, five Elementary classes and a thriving Adolescent Program. We are accredited by AMI, SACS and SAIS. Our Mission:

Writing by hand is about more than forming letters. For children, drawing, scribbling, and writing builds literacy skills and gives them a way to express their ideas and connect with others. Today, invite your child to write a note to someone they love. It doesn’t have to be perfect!

How did we become Arbor Montessori School? The name was inspired by the variety of beautiful, mature trees that surround our Lavista Campus, and became the school's official name in 1987.

On World Humanitarian Day, Arbor joins the call to as we reflect on what it means to build a community and a culture of care. 🌎💛

The United Nations calls on us to protect civilians and humanitarian workers, support those providing life-saving assistance, uphold international humanitarian law, and stand for accountability when those protections are violated.

At Arbor, we believe these values begin with how we treat one another every day: with compassion, dignity, respect, and a willingness to help. We strive to nurture young people who understand that caring for others is both a responsibility and an opportunity to make a difference.
