A mother and toddler starting over in an empty apartment after fleeing an abusive relationship. That is an all too familiar story, and one we love to change from a bleak to a bright beginning!

This Mom has met her life’s challenges head on and is ready for new adventures. With the help of Furnish with Love volunteers, Mom and son now have a space that meets their basic needs and fulfills their deep desire for safe and cozy surroundings.

After the project, Mom said, “I want to thank you all so much again. You all did an amazing job. Me and my son slept so peacefully in our home and I am still in shock.” We’re glad it’s a happy kind of surprise.

We loved furnishing a home for this wonderful Mom and her three youngest girls. What a joy to see them explore their new space!

During a challenging time for their family, Mom said, “Furnish with Love provided support that made a meaningful and lasting difference by changing our new house into our new home. What they provide is much more than furniture — they provide hope, encouragement, and a sense of normalcy during a difficult chapter of life.”

Donations of a large desk for creating artwork, a bookshelf for the reader in the family, and a doll house for the three-year-old helped us make the space feel uniquely their own. We hope they enjoy summer in their new home!

This mom held her family together when she suddenly became a single parent. The family faced housing instability with an eviction, time in a hotel, and months in a transitional housing program. She is finally back on her feet, stronger than ever with her own apartment, a steady job with a salary and benefits, and an emergency fund in place.

“This would really be a blessing to be able to have our place furnished... We are finally getting to a place where we can breathe and feel like things are starting to look up for us…”

We are honored to support this incredible mom and her kids as she continues her journey and creates a warm, comfortable home for her family.

Mom’s upbeat attitude is remarkable considering the string of events she and her family have faced. Her drive to make a home for her boys and daughter in college was contagious! 

Creative planning by Furnish with Love gave the family a living area and kitchen that are both functional and warm, a superhero bedroom for the boys, and a black and gold sanctuary for Mom. With tremendous support from the team at Odyssey Villas who nominated the family, Mom and kids will keep moving forward and overcome any challenges in their future.

Thank you to the Atlanta REALTORS Association for selecting Furnish with Love as one of their beneficiaries for 2026 and 2027. The ARA Spring Soiree fundraiser brought together members, industry leaders, and friends for an evening of connection, celebration, and giving back. We appreciate the warm welcome and support from so many members!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported us behind the scenes during our Spring Pop-Up Sale. Bringing this event to life took an incredible team of more than 50 volunteers who unpacked boxes, hung artwork, arranged furniture, and kept the sale running smoothly.

Thank you to everyone who came to our Spring Pop-Up Sale! With more than 600 people walking through our doors, we raised over $50,000 to help turn empty housing into welcoming homes for families transitioning out of homelessness.

This incredible turnout made the event a true success, and it wouldn’t have been possible without you.
