A wonderful turnout today with our Australians Within Atlanta brothers and sisters to commemorate ANZAC Day. Special thanks to NZ Honorary Consul Sam Wiliamson, Royal Australian Air Force Flight Lieutenant Jayden Hasemann and colleagues, and Jake and Ana Harvey for making the day memorable. It was a lovely commemoration, and special time spent together with friends and family honouring those who fought for us.

We Will Remember Them.

After 30 years as New Zealand Honorary Consul in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and South Carolina, it’s finally time to move on. Our new Honorary Consul is Sam Williamson, originally from Wellington, who will be a fabulous Consul. For me, a lad from Matamata, representing our country, making connections for New Zealand, providing consular services for traveling Kiwis, and sharing all kinds of information for people and businesses has been one of the great experiences (and joys) of my life. Of course, nothing could have happened without Sue, who did everything to put New Zealand on the map by hosting 20 Anzac Day commemorations at the farm, organizing wonderful Christmas parties and other gatherings for the New Zealand American Association, putting up countless visitors and VIPS, and playing a leadership role in the Consular Corps Partners Association, all of it brilliantly. Thanks also to everyone who helped us and enjoyed it with us. It was a great opportunity to begin with. It truly lived up to its billing. Now we can stay in touch and enjoy everything without having to make it happen. God bless Aotearoa New Zealand!

Come join New Zealand and Australian family and friends at our first ever Anzac Day Gunfire Breakfast on Sunday, April 27, 2025.

Breakfast will be served from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Adults and children, prix fixe. Great Kiwi pies, sausage rolls, Anzac biscuits and scones, and a drink to choose.
