Partnered with Stride Ahead, Inc., the Leg-Up Project is dedicated to raising scholarship funds in order to provide disabled children with the chance to reach their highest potential through equine therapy. der to help the families of children with disabilities overcome the financial hurdle of therapeutic horseback riding. Children in need will then be able to enjoy the extraordinary healing experience available to so many others. The Leg-Up Project is partnered with Stride Ahead, Inc., a 501-C3 non-profit organization dedicated to use horses to empower people in need in DeKalb County and Georgia to achieve their highest potential. They use proven methods to provide transformative learning experiences in personal, social, educational, and physical development. Did you know that the families of children with disabilities have a lower mean income than those of children where none have a disability? Additionally, they undergo higher financial and emotional stress caused by the needs (time, money, etc.) of the child with the disability.
