Partnered with Stride Ahead, Inc., the Leg-Up Project is dedicated to raising scholarship funds in order to provide disabled children with the chance to reach their highest potential through equine therapy. "I recognize that I am privileged to enjoy the benefits of working with horses and what I have gained is not available to so many children in need." The goal is to raise scholarship money in or

der to help the families of children with disabilities overcome the financial hurdle of therapeutic horseback riding. Children in need will then be able to enjoy the extraordinary healing experience available to so many others. The Leg-Up Project is partnered with Stride Ahead, Inc., a 501-C3 non-profit organization dedicated to use horses to empower people in need in DeKalb County and Georgia to achieve their highest potential. They use proven methods to provide transformative learning experiences in personal, social, educational, and physical development. Did you know that the families of children with disabilities have a lower mean income than those of children where none have a disability? Additionally, they undergo higher financial and emotional stress caused by the needs (time, money, etc.) of the child with the disability.
Check out this study done in Ohio that goes in depth into the impact that children with disabilities have on their families! And help eliminate an expense for these families by donating today!
