The Eberhart Foundation

The Eberhart Foundation The Eberhart Foundation will promote youths into becoming responsible adults, caring citizens and acquire skills for participating in the democratic process.

Behind this movement is the creative vision of Founder, Tedra Eberhart-Lee. She attended the University of Kentucky where she earned a full basketball scholarship. Upon completion of her studies at the University of Kentucky, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management. Ms. Eberhart- Lee went on to pursue a career in professional basketball internationally. After the completion of her

professional basketball career she returned to DeKalb County where she worked as a volunteer coach for Decatur Recreation Center and worked as the Site Director for City of Decatur after school program for middle school aged youths. She also coached girls’ basketball at Renfroe Middle and Decatur High School. In addition, she began to mentor young people in her personal and professional communities from which she was involved. Eberhart-Lee helped organized the middle school summer league program in City Schools of Decatur. The program extended to DeKalb County middle schools and was the first program of its sort available for middle school athletes in DeKalb County. In the years to come Ms. Eberhart –Lee earned a Master’s in Public Administration and is currently working on her Doctorate’s in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Behavioral Health. She continues to work with young people by mentoring and with this passion of being involved in her community; she recognized the need to invest in the leaders of tomorrow. After all, many people have and continue to invest in her. Addressing the need of becoming more involved in the community with family and friends, developing Eberhart Foundation was the goal. The Eberhart Foundation has a presence of community involvement, and it is guided by an all-volunteer Advisory Committee that recommends strategies toward reaching goals. The Committee is comprised of leaders in business and industry, community leaders, parents, and youths within the community of DeKalb County. Working with this team, we are proud to invest in tomorrow’s leaders.

Had an amazing time speaking to our youth about financial literacy and the power of ownership through The SMART Investors Series!

Too often, young people are taught how to work for money but not how to make money work for them. We discussed the importance of investing, real estate, entrepreneurship, cryptocurrency and building generational wealth early.

The goal is simple: plant seeds now so they can grow into future leaders, business owners and wealth builders tomorrow.

Knowledge is power but applied knowledge creates freedom.

Our youth deserve more than survival… they deserve strategy.

The popular apps Messenger, Snapchat, and Instagram are predator hot zones according to police. But have you ever heard of chat apps like MocoSpace, Kik, Omegle, or Ask fm, Telegram, or Whisper? Some of these apps even have locator pins that will show a stranger how far away you are from them.

Pietrzak said many of these apps are popular because of the video chat feature, liked by teens and loved by predators who want to use it to get to know their victims as well.

https://www.abc15.com/national/social-media-backdoor-apps-parents-need-to-know-about?fbclid=IwQ0xDSwOlHvJjbGNrA6Ueg2V4dG4DYWVtAjExAHNydGMGYXBwX2lkDDM1MDY4NTUzMTcyOAABHk_TOOThQywaJkYZ7JBLBEATZRfdhlG6jrRtl4hoqzsp9V793C6R06pDdwvU_aem_Hl-FSVXxNikOa2O5chL-HA

Many parents think they're on top of it, but more dangers are lurking in innocent apps, and even video games then you may realize.
