🔺 From Vision to Victory! 🏆
What happens when purpose meets passion and a dash of friendly competition? You get magic! That’s exactly what the Decatur Alumnae Chapter brought to Habitat for Humanity DeKalb’s Blue Jeans, BBQ & Blueprints Festival for the annual Playhouse Olympics!
Teams from across the community came together to design and build custom playhouses for deserving children! And this year, we had the honor of building for a very special little girl. A high-spirited and joyful 5 year old who loves unicorns, rainbows, and LOL Dolls. The Crimson & Cream Constructors intentionally got to work designing a playhouse as bright, bold, and magical as she is!
Yes, we came to compete but more importantly, we came to serve, uplift, and create something meaningful for a beautiful young girl and her family. Every nail, every paint stroke, every detail was filled with love. ❤️
We laughed, we collaborated, we built with purpose, and when the sawdust settled…we secured the gold as 1st PLACE WINNERS!
We had an unforgettable time and are already counting down to next year because we will be back to defend our throne. Thank you to all of the incredible organizations that showed up to build magic for the boys and girls across the community. See you next year at the Playhouse Olympics!
