Clyde Shepherd Nature Preserve (formerly South Peachtree Creek Nature Preserve) is located in the Medlock Park neighborhood of DeKalb County. The entrance is located at the intersection of Wood Trail Lane and Pine Bluff Road. The 28-acre nature preserve opened in 1995 under the management of South Peachtree Creek Nature Preserves, Inc., (SPCNP) a non-profit, neighborhood organization with the goal

of preserving natural spaces in the South Peachtree Creek watershed. maintains the property for the protection of wildlife and the enjoyment of our neighbors and other visitors.

Reconstruction of the 200' of boardwalk toward the Subaru dealership has begun with demolition of the old boardwalk! We prefer that you stay off this section of trail until the project is complete. If you do go that way, please be careful.

Volunteers needed!

We a replacing the boardwalk that leads to the Subaru dealership and need lots of volunteers starting next Thursday. Volunteer crews will be out there starting at 9:30am every day Thursday - Sunday of next week. The weather looks great!

No construction experience needed, as we need people to carry and hold as well as construct. Thankfully, Stivers Subaru is allowing us to deliver lumber to their lot so we have a shorter distance to go.

All you need to do is show up and bring gloves!
