It is with great pride that we announce Emory University’s 6th Annual Autism Celebration Month events. As always, our neurodiverse Planning Committee has put together a truly fabulous and compelling series of events for April 2026, themed around “Persistence and Pride”. You can find out more information about the events at our Autism Celebration Month events site. https://med.emory.edu/departments/psychiatry/autism/acm/index.html
Here are the details:
Atlanta Campus Special Interest Showcase, Thursday, April 2nd (3 to 5 p.m.): Come join us to meet autistic students and community members and learn about their unique interests and talents. Presenters will be stationed at tables, and attendees can come and learn about the wonderful interests, gifts and talents in our community! This is an in-person event, held at the Cannon Chapel underpass!
Oxford Campus Powerpoint Night, Thursday, April 2nd (5 p.m.): Come out to the Oxford Campus of Emory to hear students present on their interests and areas of expertise. Students will give brief presentations and attendees will have the opportunity to learn and ask questions. Light snacks and beverages will be provided. This is an in-person event, held at Phi Gamma Hall!
Autistic Student Panel, Tuesday, April 7 (6:00 p.m., EST, zoom): We couldn’t possibly have Autism Celebration Month without our virtual Autistic Student Panel. Come learn about the autistic experience from 3 amazing college students, celebrating their successes and sharing about how our community can continue to come together to be more inclusive, supportive, and accessible. This event will be on zoom (link forthcoming – check back on our events page for updates!).
Virtual Research Symposium, Thursday, April 16 (6 p.m., EST, zoom): Once again, we will host a Virtual Research Symposium, featuring a panel of neurodivergent and autistic researchers from around the country. More information (e.g., zoom link) will be available soon on our ACM events page!
Autistic Student Graduation Celebration, Monday, April 20: Come join us for our 3rd annual Graduation Celebration. This is an invitation-only, small gathering to honor and celebrate Emory University autistic students who have graduated in the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semester. We will be hosting the event at the beautiful Carlos Museum on campus, and we are expecting to honor around 15 students this year! Come celebrate their hard work and perseverance. Invitations, agendas, and expectations are all coming soon, but mark your calendars!
