🥕🍎 FOOD DISTRIBUTION THIS THURSDAY! 🥦🍞

Higher Calling Foundation is excited to serve our South DeKalb community at our August Food Distribution!

Families are invited to come out and receive food to help stock their kitchens and prepare healthy meals at home. ❤️

🍽️ This month, we’re also including a recipe with the food items! We hope this gives families a simple and delicious way to use some of the foods they receive.

At Higher Calling Foundation, our goal is not only to provide food, but to support healthy families and a healthy community.

Higher Calling Foundation is inviting local agencies, nonprofits, healthcare providers, businesses, faith-based organizations, and community programs to serve as resource vendors at our upcoming Back-to-School Festival!

This free community event will bring together families as they prepare for the new school year. We're looking for organizations that are passionate about serving our community and providing valuable resources to families.

We are especially seeking organizations that offer:
✅ CAPS & Childcare Assistance
✅ SNAP & Food Assistance
✅ Health Screenings & Wellness Services
✅ Emergency & County Services
✅ Housing & Family Support
✅ Financial Literacy
✅ Employment & Workforce Development
✅ Youth Programs & Educational Services
✅ Mental Health & Counseling Resources
✅ Any other services that benefit children and families

Vendor organizations are encouraged to bring brochures, applications, giveaways, promotional materials, and knowledgeable staff who can connect families with available resources.

The Higher Calling Foundation invites DeKalb County families to its FREE Back-to-School Festival on Thursday, July 30, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Higher Calling Ministries, 2901 Wesley Chapel Road, Decatur, GA 30034.

As students prepare to head back to school, the Foundation is bringing together community partners to help families get ready for a successful school year.

Families attending the event can enjoy:

🎒 FREE Hygiene Essentials Packs for students (students must be present to receive a pack)
🥫 Food Bank Giveaway for families
❤️ Free Health Screenings
🤝 Community Resources including information and assistance for CAPS, SNAP benefits, emergency assistance, county services, and other family support programs

Hygiene essentials packs and food items are available while supplies last and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

This event is made possible through the generous support of community partners, including 1-800-TruckWreck, the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Higher Calling Christian Academy, and other local organizations committed to strengthening families throughout DeKalb County.

"Our goal is to ensure that every child begins the school year with confidence while connecting families to valuable resources that support their long-term success," said Dr. Kelli D. Spencer, Director of Higher Calling Christian Academy and Marketing & Communications Manager for the Higher Calling Foundation.
