Today is the day set aside to honor those who have served their country. I try to honor and thank every veteran I meet but especially on this day let me say...
"Thank you to all who have served so that we may live our best life. To those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, may you never be forgotten."
Safe Haven Corner is a reserved space for veterans and active duty service members to go and watch the animals, sit and relax, and just unwind, in a safe and controlled environment. Completely confidential and at no cost Safe Haven Corner is open during all daylight hours. There is a book available to write your thoughts if you want. There is a stack of books on the shelf, help yourself. There are usually snacks and there is a firepit for when the weather cooperates. Enjoy the great outside or sit in the bus out of the elements.
Service dogs are welcome but should stay leashed.
If you have any thoughts on what else we can do to help please let us know.
