Big things are happening at DeBary Elementary Eagles Phase I of their stairwell art project is complete bringing color, energy, and inspiration to a space students use every day. This vision, created by art teacher Ms. Nancy Hatch is being brought to life by renowned Foundation Volunteer artist Ms. Terri Hoag, Director of the Gateway Center for the Arts, with the full support and guidance of Principal Ms. Stacy Gotlib.
Up next: Phase II, where the 5th grade students will join in, adding their own "hands-on" (truly hands-on, just wait to see) creativity to leave a lasting mark on their school, and establishing a tradition for future graduating classes.
The Foundation is proud to support this incredible school and a project that will inspire students for years to come

Reminder - the Love Mission event on preventing human trafficking is Tue, 6pm, at the Gateway Center for the Arts. Please join us for this free event.

Tina Kadolph, Palate Coffee’s owner, serving DeBary and Sanford, will share a local perspective on human trafficking, a critical issue impacting our community. We are proud to support this free informational session hosted by Ms. Prebble Bonett and Ms. Barbara Hurley Newmark on Tuesday, April 28 at 6:00 PM at the Gateway Center for the Arts.

The DeBary Foundation is proud to help bring creativity to life at DeBary Elementary Eagles.
Through Foundation funding, Art Teacher Ms. Nancy Hatch turned her vision into reality by reimagining a space within the school as a vibrant, uplifting, and engaging mural that goes beyond paint on a wall and creates an environment that inspires students every day.
Bringing that vision to life takes exceptional talent. Foundation Volunteer Artist Ms. Terri Hoag, Director of the Gateway Center for the Arts, is donating her time applying her exceptional artistic skill and creativity to transform the concept into a striking visual centerpiece.
This project reflects true community collaboration. The Foundation’s support was the catalyst, making opportunities like this possible and turning a shared vision into lasting inspiration for students, while continuing to invest in initiatives that enrich education and strengthen our schools. Stay tuned for more photos when the project finishes.

Honored to attend the DeBary Elementary Eagles Volunteer and Business Partner Recognition today, an inspiring reminder of what makes our community so strong. Humbling to see the many volunteers who have given hundreds of hours of their personal time to help make this school one of the very best. Equally impressive were the generous business and philanthropic partners whose support is reaching more than 90% of DeBary’s K–5 students.
