The St. Johns River has helped shape our region for generations.

Historically, the river provided an important transportation route for steamboats, helping connect people, communities, and businesses throughout Florida. Today, it remains one of DeBary’s greatest natural treasures, serving as a place to explore, enjoy wildlife, and experience the beauty of our community.

Preserving and celebrating the places that tell DeBary’s story helps keep that history alive for future generations.

Meet Alicja Nutting!

For our latest Board Spotlight, we’re introducing another one of the people helping advance the DeBary Foundation’s mission.

When she’s not serving our community, you may find Alicja enjoying DeBary’s trails on her bike.

We’re grateful to have her passion for DeBary and community involvement on our team.

Connecting trails, communities, and opportunities to explore!

The DeBary Foundation is proud to partner with the St. Johns River-to-Sea Loop Alliance to enhance the trail experience for our community.

An informational kiosk will be installed at the unique DeBary junction where three major multi use trail systems come together.

This project is another way we’re working alongside community partners to celebrate and enhance the outdoor spaces that make DeBary such a special place.

Great morning attending DeBary’s State of the City! Impressive to hear Mayor Karen Chasez and City Manager Carmen Rosamonda reflect on the accomplishments of the past year and the progress made over the past eight years.

With Mayor Chasez, Vice Mayor Phyllis Butlien, and Councilwoman Patricia Stevenson completing their current terms, it was an awesome opportunity to recognize their leadership, dedication, and the positive impact they’ve had on our community.

A lot to be proud of in DeBary, and a sincere thank you to all three for their service!

Tomorrow is National Night Out in DeBary, and the DeBary Foundation will be raising funds for an in-house breathing-air cascade system for the firefighters who serve our community. The goal is simple: Fill the Boot. Help Us Fill Their Tanks.

Stop by the Foundation table, say hello, and drop something in the boot. 100% of donations will go directly toward the firefighter breathing-air cascade system. Donations to the DeBary Foundation are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

Every donation helps fill the next tank. Let’s show our firefighters what DeBary does when our community has a need.
