Remember Me Quilt Project of Michigan – The Innocent Faces of Gun Violence is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness to the epidemic of gun violence in our nation. Through collaboration with a broad spectrum of community, civic and faith-based organizations, as well as quilters and families of victims, quilts are created that carry the images of gun violence vict

ims. These quilts pay tribute to those who have needlessly lost their lives to gun violence. When placed on public display, along with the personal stories of the victims, the quilts engage the audience in a new and more immediate way. Along with the victims’ personal stories, the images remind the public of the profound loss to families and communities as well as the potential of individuals that will never be realized. Through the quilts, the victims once again have a voice, and help to move the public conversation from raw statistical data to real people.
