The Wayne County Dispute Resolution Center (WCDRC) is a community based non-profit organization providing confidential resolution of conflicts as well as training and education to schools, individuals, families, busines

ses and other entities in metropolitan Detroit and throughout Wayne County. In 2013, we provided conflict resolution services in over 2,100 conflicts, the great majority of them referred to us by local courts and schools. WHY CONFLICT RESOLUTION WORKS:

Conflict resolution provides an opportunity for communication and open dialogue. Respectful dialogue encourages clarity, which leads to understanding and opens the door to resolution. Our highly skilled mediators establish an atmosphere of respect and help parties develop realistic, workable solutions;
Conflict resolution is affordable because WCDRC charges for its services based upon an individuals ability to pay. We can do this because we are a non-profit receiving funding from a variety of sources, and we benefit from the use of many dedicated volunteers.

💭 Focus on What You Can Control

There’s a lot in life we can’t control—
❌ How others behave
❌ What others say
❌ How others treat us
❌ Others’ beliefs and perceptions

But here’s where your power lives 👇
✅ How you respond
✅ How you let words affect you
✅ How you reflect on your own thoughts and beliefs

When conflict feels overwhelming, shifting your focus can protect your peace and improve your mental wellbeing. 🌱

At Wayne County Dispute Resolution Center (WCDRC), we’re here to help you navigate difficult situations with clarity, respect, and support.

💙 June is Men’s Mental Health Month 💙

Men face stress, pressure, and emotional challenges too — but too often, struggles with mental health go unspoken.

This month is a reminder that mental health matters for everyone. Checking in, having honest conversations, and seeking support are signs of strength — not weakness. 🌿

At WCDRC, we understand that unresolved conflict, stress, and difficult life situations can impact emotional wellbeing. Healthy communication and support systems can make a powerful difference for individuals, families, and communities.

💬 Start the conversation
🤝 Support one another
💙 Prioritize mental wellness

No one should have to carry life’s challenges alone.
