Condolence Message on the Passing of Imam and Sheikh Mahmoud Sulaiman

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un.

On behalf of the North American Imams Fellow (NAIF), we extend our deepest condolences to the family, community, and all loved ones of Imam and Sheikh Mahmoud Sulaiman, who has returned to his Lord after a lifetime of service and devotion.

Sheikh Mahmoud Sulaiman was a pillar of faith and guidance for the Islamic Community Center of Phoenix since 2002, and his wisdom, compassion, and dedication touched the hearts of countless individuals in Phoenix and beyond[1][3]. He was loved by his community, respected by his peers, and served as a beacon of unity and knowledge, always striving to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and understanding among all people[3].

May Allah, the Most Merciful, forgive his shortcomings, accept all his good deeds, and grant him the highest place in Jannatul Firdaus. May Allah make his grave spacious and filled with light, and grant patience and strength to his family and community during this difficult time[6][9]. We pray that Allah accepts him among His beloved servants and rewards him for his tireless efforts in spreading the teachings of Islam and serving humanity.

May his legacy continue to inspire us all.

On behalf of the North American Imams Fellow (NAIF), I extend warmest greetings and heartfelt congratulations to all Imams and Muslim communities throughout the United States on this blessed occasion of Eid.

May this Eid be filled with joy, peace, and spiritual fulfillment, bringing renewed unity, strength, and harmony to our communities. We celebrate the completion of a sacred journey during Ramadan, marked by devotion, charity, and compassion.

We sincerely thank our dedicated Imams for their invaluable service, guidance, and leadership. Your unwavering commitment continues to strengthen our community bonds and enrich our spiritual lives.

May Allah accept our fasting, prayers, and good deeds, and may He bless you, your families, and our communities abundantly.

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we, at the North American Imams Fellow (NAIF), extend our deepest condolences to the entire Muslim community in the United States and beyond on the passing of our beloved brother, Imam Mahdi Bray.

Imam Mahdi was a tireless advocate for justice, human rights, and the betterment of our community. His work in uniting voices for civil rights, interfaith dialogue, and the upliftment of the marginalized will be remembered and cherished for generations. His legacy of service is one that has left an indelible mark on the American Muslim community and on our collective struggle for justice and equality.

We pray that Allah, the Most Merciful, forgives his shortcomings, elevates his rank, and grants him a place in the highest ranks of Jannah, Al-Ferdaws Al-Ala’a. We also ask Allah to grant his family, friends, and the entire Muslim ummah patience, solace, and strength during this time of loss.

May his soul find peace in the eternal mercy of Allah, and may his legacy continue to inspire those of us who remain to carry on his mission of faith, justice, and unity.
