The mission of Globally United Students is to create an environment for international and domestic students to immerse themselves into the surrounding culture, as well as gain insight through the exploration of other cultures and communities. The organization will serve as a bridge for international and domestic students to communicate, interact, and engage with one another. To achieve this goal,
Globally United Students will offer a variety of services, events, and excursions to assist students in their endeavors to interact with the greater community. This organization does not solely act as a program facilitator, but as an advisor for other campus international organizations, serving as a conduit for diverse campus groups to interact together. Globally United Students welcomes all cultural, faith-based, national origin, and ethnic groups to engage in the distribution and facilitation of exposure to the varied global experiences on campus. It will be a metaphorical “two-way bridge,” working to help international students acculturate to American society and the university experience while contributing to the effort of internationalizing the domestic population which contributes to the overall growth of the campus and greater community.
