It was an incredible show of goodwill by 400 union plumbers and pipefitters from local unions across Michigan's Lower Peninsula.on Saturday, Jan. 30. They volunteered their time and skills to assemble at the union hall of Flint Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 370, then fanned out to install filters on kitchen faucets, replace faucets which couldn't accept the filters, and hand out bottled water and lead test kits to disadvantaged people in the city. Hundreds of homes were visited. Kudos also to the 40 service trucks union contractors allowed for the effort. Just an extraordinary effort all around to help address Flint's water crisis. Union proud!
