Behind every deployed service member is a military family hitting major milestones back home. And few feel bigger than learning to drive — especially when a parent is away on duty.

This weekend in San Diego, we set out to make that step a little easier. Together with Governors Highway Safety Association and the California Office of Traffic Safety we hosted free, hands-on Ford Driving Skills for Life clinics built just for military parents and teens at Manheim San Diego. Right beside professional instructors, teens practiced skid control, learned the real dangers of distracted and impaired driving, and built real confidence behind the wheel… with the people who love them most cheering them on.

The community that filled the tent included those who joined us through Blue Star Families ilies and Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), two organizations that support our service members and their loved ones every single day. And it all unfolded during a historic weekend, as NASCAR raced on a U.S. Navy base for the very first time at Naval Base Coronado.

Showing up for our military and veteran families is at the heart of Ford's Proud to Honor initiative. To every parent and teen who joined us: thank you. 💙

One year of Ford Building Together — and we’re just getting started! 🎉

A big thank you to our incredible nonprofit partners who helped bring this week’s celebration to life at Ford Motor Company World Headquarters. From blood donation and dropping off non-perishable food for local pantries to packing Go Bags, sharing disaster preparedness tips, and writing notes of encouragement, every stop reflected the power of showing up for the communities where we live and work.

We’re so grateful to American Red Cross Feeding America Habitat for Humanity Team Rubicon World Central Kitchen for sharing their time, energy, and impact with us — and to the Ford Volunteer Corps members and employees who helped make the day such a meaningful celebration.

Here’s to year two! 💙

One year ago, we launched Ford Building Together to bring the full power of Ford — our philanthropy, employee volunteers, expertise, vehicles, and dealer network — to the communities we serve.

Today, we were proud to celebrate this milestone by bringing the Building Together spirit to Ford Motor Company World Headquarters and inviting our nonprofit partners to show what this work looks like in action. Across campus, Ford employees had the chance to take part in hands-on activities that reflected the many ways we’ve shown up to support our neighbors.

That included:
🔹Donating blood and learning more about our shared history with the American Red Cross
🔹Dropping off non-perishable food for Feeding America to support local Southeast Michigan pantries
🔹Writing notes of encouragement to a new Habitat for Humanity homeowner in Detroit
🔹Packing emergency Go Bags and learning disaster preparedness tips with Team Rubicon
🔹Enjoying meals inspired by the World Central Kitchen cookbook and rounding up meal purchases to support our partner’s critical work

It was a powerful reminder that community support comes to life when people show up, give their time, and work together.

Thank you to our partners at American Red Cross Feeding America Habitat for Humanity Team Rubicon World Central Kitchen for being part of the day — and thank you to every Ford employee who participated.

Together, we’re building a stronger, more resilient future. Here’s to year two! 💙

One year ago, we launched Ford Building Together to bring the full power of Ford Motor Company — including our philanthropy, employee volunteers, expertise, Ford vehicles, and dealer network — to help our nonprofit partners expand their reach and serve more people.

Since then, we’ve seen what’s possible when we show up together for our neighbors.

Thank you to American Red Cross, Feeding America, Habitat for Humanity, Team Rubicon, World Central Kitchen and our nonprofit partners around the world, our employees, Ford Volunteer Corps, and Ford Dealers for helping bring Ford Building Together to life.

Here’s to year two. 💙

Catch a Ride Network and The Car Mom received enough donations this past weekend at The Car Mom's Auto Show in St. Louis to fund 450+ rides!

Thanks to this round of fundraising, community members with limited access to transportation — from parents and kids to veterans — will have a way to travel to essential appointments without worrying about how to get there.

Together, we're helping make sure transportation isn't a barrier to the care people need. 💙

In the Motor City, the automotive industry is part of our history — and our future.

Today, Ford Philanthropy and Philanthropies are investing $5 million to expand and modernize auto technician training programs in Detroit Public Schools through an innovative public-private partnership.

From advanced training and industry credentials to transportation support and hands-on learning opportunities, this partnership is designed to help Detroit students explore rewarding careers in the skilled trades.

We’re proud to support the next generation of technicians, innovators, and problem-solvers in our Detroit community. This investment builds on Ford’s broader commitment to developing future auto technicians through training, scholarship, and career-connected learning opportunities.
