As an institution committed to expanding economic opportunity and building bridges across communities, the American Arab Chamber of Commerce recognizes that progress is shared. The advancement of one community contributes to the strength and prosperity of all.

Michigan Tech Week convened some of the region's most important voices on global entrepreneurship and international expansion. Our Executive Director, Bilal Hammoud, joined Ben Marchionna from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and Her Excellency Amna Binzaal Almheiri, Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in New York, for a panel on extending the reach of Michigan's tech founders to the Middle East and beyond. Connecting Michigan's innovation ecosystem to global markets is central to what the American Arab Chamber was built to do.

What a morning at Warren Valley Golf Club. We were honored to welcome Mayor Mo Baydoun of Dearborn Heights Government for a networking brunch bringing together business leaders, entrepreneurs, corporate partners, and community stakeholders from across the region.

A highlight of the morning was recognizing three businesses for their impact and leadership:

Changemaker Business of the Year — J & T Crova Towing
Community Champion of the Year — Dr. Ali Nasrallah and The Family Doc
Small Business of the Year — Yousef Bazzi and Conceal the World

We also want to thank the vendors who helped bring this event to life.

For the spread: Sesame House, El-Sayed Meat Market, Detroit Perk, Basha Grill, and Hamza's Sweet Bites.

For merchandise: Usul Collective, Dearborn Dad, and Conceal the World.

Thank you to everyone who joined us — moments like these are a reminder of the strength and generosity of our community.

Five finalists took the stage at the Night of Innovation Pitch Competition at Ford Community & Performing Arts Center to present their businesses before a live audience and a panel of judges: Overtime Print Shop, My Breastfeeding Journey, Sew Modest Studio, Sakina Scrubs, and Dearbornballoondecor. Each brought a distinct vision and the courage to put it on the line in front of their community.

We are proud to have co-presented this year's event alongside City of Dearborn Government, and we were honored to have our Executive Director, Bilal Hammoud, serve as one of the evening's judges.

Congratulations to this year's top finishers — Overtime Print Shop (1st place), My Breastfeeding Journey (2nd place), and Dearbornballoondecor (3rd place). Your performance reflected the depth of talent that exists in this community.

We are grateful to the City of Dearborn Government, our partners, and every founder who competed. This is exactly what the Chamber was built to support.

The American Arab Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome Evon Pervan-Keller, Keller & Avadenka, P.C., and Maya M. Younis, Younis Law, PLLC to our Legal Advisory Committee — two exceptional attorneys whose expertise and commitment to community align closely with everything this committee stands for.

Our Legal Advisory Committee has been designed with a clear purpose: to ensure that every entrepreneur, founder, and business owner in our network has access to the kind of high-quality legal guidance that drives real growth and informed decision-making. As the Chamber continues to expand its reach and deepen its impact across the region, this committee grows with it — bringing together legal professionals who are as invested in the success of our community as they are in their own practice.
