Janet puts so much heart into helping people feel connected and cared for, and we’re lucky to experience it every day!

For three years, she’s served on the Mission and Values Team, helping plan Good Shepherd Gatherings and pilgrimages to Angers that connect our partners with the mission, values, and history of the Sisters of the Good Shepherd. She brings thoughtfulness and attention to every detail, all alongside her full-time work at Vista Maria. After helping make the recent Angers Pilgrimage a success, she’s already preparing for the March 2027 Good Shepherd Gathering.

Closer to home, Janet brings that same care to her coworkers. Recently, she quietly filled a vacationing colleague’s office with colorful mini turtles, creating a joyful welcome back. Another coworker found “pocket penguins” waiting on their office door later that week!

Those little surprises reflect something we love about Janet: she makes time to remind people they’re valued. Thank you, Janet, for the fearless heart ❤️ you bring to our mission and to everyone around you!

Thank you, Rotary Club of Dearborn Heights! We loved having you on campus for your lunch-and-learn. It was a pleasure to share what’s ahead with a group that cares so deeply about our community. We’re so grateful for your enthusiasm and support!

Our thanks to Jessie and the team at Vista Maria for yesterday's interesting lunch-and-learn event that served as our weekly meeting. A portion of their Dearborn Heights campus is being established as living quarters for homeless female veterans and their children. We share their passion for helping those who have served our country. 🇺🇸

One week until Dolly Drive! 💕 There’s still time to get involved and help make this year’s event special for youth in our foster care programs.

We’re looking for volunteers to support Dolly Drive on Thursday, Oct. 8, along with donations of new toys and gifts for the youth we serve. From dolls, stuffed animals and games to Lego sets, crafts, sports equipment, Squishmallows and more, there are plenty of ways to give!

Gift cards are also greatly appreciated and help us support foster families and caregivers throughout the year. 💙

We were proud to spend time with the women who have served our country at the 2026 Women Marines Association Convention!

Vista Maria CEO Kathy Regan and Director of Security Victoria Futch, a veteran herself, joined attendees to share resources and let them know they have a place to turn when they or their families need support.

Every woman deserves the chance to build a stable future with her children by her side. We’re proud to support women of all backgrounds as part of Vista Maria’s ongoing work to restore hope and help families thrive.

What an amazing day! 💙🎒Our annual Back-to-School Bash was filled with smiles, laughter and so much fun as we celebrated the foster care families we serve before the new school year began.

From handing out backpacks and school supplies to enjoying games, food, face painting and time at the pool, it was a wonderful afternoon made possible by our incredible volunteers and staff.

Thank you to everyone who helped create such a special day so every child could start the school year feeling ready to succeed.

Alea is living our values with a Fearless Heart.

Using grant funds, she helped three Vista Maria youth join AAU basketball, then personally drove them to practices and games when transportation became a barrier. She also continues checking in with discharged youth to make sure they are safe and supported.

Thank you, Alea, for showing what it means to honor the individual worth of every young person. 💙
