The Amway Grand is an extraordinary venue and it was a blast closing the National Council of Catholic Women’s Convention by performing in the Ambassador Ballroom for a very lively crowd. During the improv, their responses were so creative & hilarious, they stopped the show! It was late, by the time we packed up, but we grabbed a bite at a nearby Korean barbecue/karaoke place. Upon our return, we ran into a rowdy group of gals, who were re-living the laughs from the show, in the hotel lobby. They insisted that we see the view of Grand Rapids from their tower rooms. We got to bed after 2 AM! Fortunately, there was a noon Mass at St. Andrew’s Cathedral downtown. Our hearts are filled with joy & gratitude, to be able to share the joy & love of Christ, with women from all around the country.

What a blessing to be hosted by so many fantastic women at the National Council of Catholic Women Convention, including Janet Regan, GRDCCW President It’s exciting to meet women from all over the country. Yesterday we were invited to pray together at Mass with Bishop William A. Wack, of Pensacola-Tallahassee, and dozens of priests from all over. In the evening, we enjoyed downtown Grand Rapids with some of our family and found a place called, “Z’s,” which we affectionately call our volunteer roadie!

On our way to the NCCW Conference today we stopped in the Meier Gardens to see the Chihuly Exhib. After unloading all of the equipment, we enjoyed a beautiful dinner and got to see Garrett, a dear family friend. This is such a special place!

Sometimes we have to get creative where we rehearse, since we’re coming from all over, and don’t have a theatre space. Yesterday we met at the gazebo in South Lyon. It was a charming spot that provided space, shade, and privacy. And it was fun to sing & dance for the trees & birds!
