These are difficult times for many people, friends and community members who are actively battling their addictions to drugs and alcohol. This is a most complicated and perplexing of issues. Also, it is a dangerous problem that can and has resulted in loss of life for so many good people. I feel sadness for those who have the problem, and for their loved ones, and are suffering on a daily basis. Life is a gift, every day is a gift, waking up is a gift, the challenges that life presents and offers to us is a gift.
