He’ll never do it himself, so we’ll do it for him!
We need to give a HUGE shoutout to Deadwood Trails Committee member Eric Henneman, who has been stepping up in a big way for our trails lately.
From leading the charge on our new trail builds this summer, to organizing volunteer work days, to heading out on his own on random days just to keep our trails in the best shape possible, Eric does it all.
As a completely volunteer organization, people like Eric are what make this whole thing work. He puts in the time, does the work, and never asks for any recognition in return. He simply loves his community, loves the trails, and wants to leave both better than he found them.
Case in point: Here’s Eric this morning up on the JT Fuller Trail above the Broken Boot, pushing back the mullein that’s crept into the trail corridor over the summer. Nobody asked him to be up there. He just saw something that needed to be done and went and did it.
Thank you for everything you give to our group and our trail system, Eric. It doesn’t go unnoticed, even if you’d probably prefer that it did!
