This park is in our hometown and we are so proud of this ranger and his quick thinking.

When a routine storm monitoring session at Washington State Park escalated into a confirmed tornado on the ground, Ranger Cord Blumenstock didn’t hesitate.

From warning visitors in the campgrounds to swimmers in the river, Ranger Blumenstock's quick thinking made sure every visitor found safety before the storm hit. But his work didn't stop when the clouds cleared.

With roads blocked by debris and local residents trapped, Ranger Blumenstock grabbed a chainsaw, cleared the path for emergency responders and began door-to-door welfare checks.

We are incredibly proud to honor his bravery and service above self with the Grand Cordon Award. 🎖️

Magnolia had the pleasure of learning how to tap trees and make syrup with our local homeschool community and some of our church family. What a neat (and yummy!) experience!

Today was a busy one! Through our American Heritage Girls troop, in which Magnolia is an Explorer, she had the honor of placing a wreath on a Veterans grave this morning through Wreaths Across America. We were even given a tour of this precious historical church. The ceremony was so meaningful and also educational and emotional. Later this evening we took another shift in bell ringing. Magnolia and big brother rang at one entrance and little sis and I rang at the other door. We found out they have no one signed up to ring tomorrow, so we will be picking up another shift, in case anyone wants to pick up a shift too. 🙏🏻 every little bit helps this season and it’s so uplifting to be a ringer and spread Christmas cheer.
