The DeRidder Rotary Club recently welcomed Retired LSU AgCenter Extension Agent Keith Hawkins to its club meeting. While Keith is retired, he continues to volunteer in his community teaching gardening classes to the Christian Women's Job Corp.

Hawkins just completed his basic beekeeping class and spoke to the club regarding "Bees and H**p".

Today, our Rotarian members, Blayne, Ricky, and Victoria, volunteered their time to assist the Beauregard Community Action Association in delivering essential food boxes to our senior community.

South Beauregard Elementary School’s second grade students welcomed our very own legendary giant lumberjack and American folk hero Paul Bunyan, aka Jared Farque, to the classroom this morning to end the week with reading books. Jared is one of DeRidder Rotary Club’s community treasures who supports education and our future heroes.
