Boy Scout Troop 4, DeKalb, IL Meetings are held Tuesdays @ 7pm, First United Methodist Church in DeKalb. Scouts plan monthly camp outs and have opportunities for regular service hours.

More high adventures for our boys in troop 4.

The Scouts took on the rapids with an exciting whitewater rafting adventure at WOKA, working together as a team to navigate every wave and challenge. They also stepped back in time with a visit to a Civil War military park, learning about the history and sacrifices that helped shape our nation.

The adventure didn't stop there! The Scouts pushed themselves to new heights with mountain climbing and rappelling, building confidence, courage, and trust in one another with every climb and descent.

From history lessons to outdoor challenges, this trip continues to be filled with unforgettable memories, lifelong friendships, and opportunities to grow as leaders. We couldn't be prouder of these Scouts for embracing every adventure that comes their way!

Our Scouts have packed every day with adventure and new challenges!

They soared through the treetops at Eureka Springs Zipline, tackled the trails while mountain biking at Slaughter Pen, and celebrated with a well-earned stop for ice cream at Sip & Dipity. 🍦🚵‍♂️🌲

The fun didn't stop there! The troop cooled off with swimming, tossed the football around, and took on the ultimate challenge—seeing who could ride the buoy like a bull! 🤠🌊

With temperatures expected to reach 99°, the Scouts headed underground to explore the incredible Cosmic Cavern and Onyx Cave, enjoying some natural air conditioning while discovering the beauty hidden beneath the Ozarks. 🦇🪨

High Adventure isn't just about the places we visit—it's about building confidence, encouraging one another, trying new things.

After the fireworks were all done and the celebrations ended our troop embarked on their adventure to summer camp!

Another incredible week for Troop 4 at Ed Bryant Summer Camp! 🏕️⚜️

Our Scouts challenged themselves, built new friendships, and made memories that will last a lifetime. Throughout the week they worked hard, learned new skills, and pushed themselves to try new adventures.

Together, Troop 4 earned an impressive 22 full merit badges and 5 partial merit badges! 👏

From hitting the mark in rifle shooting and archery, to exploring geology, strengthening their skills in lifesaving and emergency preparedness, creating projects in woodworking, and reaching new heights on the climbing tower, our Scouts embraced every opportunity to learn and grow.

We're incredibly proud of each Scout for their dedication, teamwork, and willingness to step outside their comfort zone. A huge thank you to our leaders, volunteers, camp staff, and families for making this unforgettable week possible.
Here's to another successful summer camp and many more adventures ahead!

The adventure is officially underway for Troop 4 and their High Adventure! Exploring the incredible Ozark Caverns, where the Scouts experienced the beauty and history hidden beneath the Ozarks.

After climbing back into the summer heat, the group spent time canoeing and swimming, making the most of the beautiful outdoors and cooling off along the way.

Made a stop at the Rowdy Beaver for some well-earned refuge from the heat. The Scouts enjoyed a great meal, relaxed in the air conditioning, and caught some of the World Cup while they recharged for the next adventure.

From underground caves to paddling the water, swimming, and sharing laughs together, packed with adventure and memories that will last a lifetime.

🏕️ Off to Summer Camp! ⚜️
Boy Scout Troop 4 is heading out for an unforgettable week at summer camp! It's a week filled with friendship, adventure, new skills, and plenty of opportunities to earn merit badges.

We're especially excited to have two new Scouts joining us for their very first summer camp experience. We know they'll make lifelong memories, build confidence, and discover what the Scouting adventure is all about.

Wishing all of our Scouts and leaders a safe, fun, and successful week. We can't wait to hear the stories, see the accomplishments, and celebrate all that they've learned when they return.

Troop 4 had an awesome campout this weekend! The scouts took on the trails at Devil’s Lake, Wisconsin, enjoying the great outdoors and building memories along the way. From hiking the bluffs to sharing laughs around camp, it was a trip to remember.
A little rain didn’t slow them down—April showers won’t keep these boys away! Proud of their resilience, teamwork, and adventurous spirit. 🌧️🥾🌲

Throughout the day, Troop 4 tackled a wide range of challenges, including Fire Building, Animal Tracks, Sled Racing, First Aid, Orienteering, .22 Rifle Shooting, Tomahawk Throwing, and more. 💪🧭🔥

Our Scouts took on the heights at The Forge: Lemont Quarries Adventure Park, tackling the ropes courses and zip lines like pros! 🧗‍♂️💪
From climbing challenges to soaring on the zip line, every Scout pushed their limits, encouraged their friends, and had an unforgettable time. 🌲⚡
Scouting is all about adventure, teamwork, and growth—and this adventure was a perfect example of that! Way to go, Scouts! 👏🔥
