Yesterday was 🧡World Unity Day🧡 and our team joined the DeKalb School District 428 staff in wearing orange. World Unity Day is a day to bring awareness to the anti-bullying movement while promoting kindness, acceptance, and inclusion!

Please help us congratulate one of our own, School Resource Officer Chris Sullivan, who recently received the DeKalb Police Department’s Outstanding Service Award! Officer Sullivan has 22 years of law enforcement under his belt and this is his 8th year as an SRO in DeKalb School District 428! Way to go, Sully!! And thanks for everything you do!!

Jefferson Elementary School’s first ever career day was loads of fun! Officer Allie enjoyed talking to future police officers about what she does every day, but they mostly just wanted to push all the buttons in the car. We get it. It is pretty cool in there 🤷🏼‍♀️

The best way to start a Friday is with a coffee delivery from The Jellyfish Cafe at Gwendolyn Brooks Elementary- DeKalb! The cafe is run by students in the Developmental Communications program and is a great way to practice the communication skills they’ve been working so hard on!
