Mt. Carmel Baptist Church ~ Dr. Felker Community Center, is the location where many safe spaces are curated for the community to include veterans and there families. Now it's time to go upstairs and share space with Family & Friends during a church service.

🎭 SAVE THE DATE: THE COOKIE JAR: As You Like It 🎭
For Veterans, By Veterans

As the President and Founder of Where We Meet, Inc. I am excited (and honestly a little emotional) to announce my first creative theatre production, The Cookie Jar: As You Like It β€” a healing-centered, ensemble theatre experience rooted in storytelling, creativity, resilience, and transformation.

This project is especially meaningful to me because years ago, Piven Theatre was the first place I ever stood on a stage.

As a participant in The Telling Project cohort, veterans shared pieces of our lives, and our stories were woven into a powerful theatrical production that we later performed together. That experience changed something in me. It reminded me that storytelling heals, community matters, and our lived experiences deserve space to be seen and heard.

Now, in a full-circle moment, I am stepping into my own first creative production and inviting others to journey with me.

The Cookie Jar explores the emotional and psychological impact of life’s trials and triumphs through the metaphor of a cookie jar.

This will not be a traditional play.

This is a creative, collaborative production featuring stories, movement, spoken word, music, visual art, performance, healing, humor, reflection, and veteran voice.

Directors Kyna Simpson and Ramona Pozek will Join me in this production. We Want You!

✨ Calling all creatives! ✨

We are looking for veterans and creatives who may want to participate, collaborate, or explore artistic expression through:

β€’ Music / singing
β€’ Dance / movement

β€’ Writing
