Krewe de Yak DeFuniak Springs’ original Mardi Gras krewe since 2009! We parade, we party, and we give back. Join us for fun, tradition, and community year-round.

Krewe de Yak, the only Mardi Gras krewe based in DeFuniak Springs, FL, was established in 2009. Until then, Walton County was the only Northern Gulf Coast county between New Orleans and Tallahassee without a Mardi Gras Krewe! We participate in parades and events in the Florida Panhandle, as well as kick off the Carnival Season with our own festival & parade here in DeFuniak Springs. As a non-profi

t organization, we engage in community outreach by sponsoring events for local charities as well as donate to local causes.

For the parade route laughs.

From pirate crews and parade fun to meeting new friends and making memories, Krewe de Yak had an amazing time representing and celebrating along the Emerald Coast. Thank you to everyone who stopped to say hello, shared beads, laughs, and pirate spirit with us!
