Tree care: 101
1. If it looks dry, water it.
2. If it looks like a w**d, pull it.
3. If it looks dead, wait many of our trees are transplants and have to adapt to its soil and grow into its roots.
Maintenance is the best survival of the trees planted.
In my 9 years of working at the district, the best tree sites are the ones that are maintained properly.

Worked the crew pretty hard today and put in some long hrs but we are officially done with machine planting and fabric laying. Next week we finish off hand plants.

The Lake Preston class of 2026 got to plant their tree today. This is a very special class since they were my first Arbor Day class and 3 of the students work for me at the district.💕😮‍💨😢
