After envisioning this for many years and actively working toward it for the recent handful of months, it finally happened.

Remember to Live Foundation awarded the inaugural recipient a family vacation to a Mom fighting late stage breast cancer to curate memories with her most cherished loved ones that will last for the rest of their lives!

This moment is a memory that will also impact me for the rest of my life!

She agreed to sit down with me under the guise of recording a podcast to share her story of how she's mentally, emotionally, and physically handling her current health situation while continuing to live life to the fullest.

During an emotional and inspirational conversation, I eventually shocked her with...

"So... I wasn't fully honest with why I invited you here..."

As can be expected, she was quite taken aback and a little apprehensive to find out why.

But as soon as I explained, "I created an organization to send Moms fighting breast cancer on a family vacation and we'd like you to be our first recipient...", tears filled both our eyes -- hers out of appreciation and excitement; mine out of recognition of this monumental and emotional moment!

Remember to Live Foundation has moved from "here's what we're trying to do" into "this IS what we do!"

And what we do is give families dealing with the pain of having a Mom with breast cancer a mental and emotional reprieve by spending a week away from it all to just live in the moment creating lifelong memories surrounded by love!

Here's to many more moments like this one...

Everyone needs a community – a community for encouragement, for help, for love, for support.

Those fighting breast cancer need their community.
Those caregivers need their community.
Remember to Live Foundation needs its community.

During the month of October, we’ll be featuring people and places of our community. We’ll then celebrate community with a Pink Beer Release Party by bringing our community together on October 18.
