Downtown De Pere is experiencing major redevelopment momentum, making this the perfect time to update the 2010 Downtown Master Plan so it reflects today’s market conditions and community priorities. The refreshed plan will use updated analysis and public input to guide future land use, mobility, public spaces, and redevelopment opportunities as SmithGroup and City staff engage residents in the months ahead, starting with our survey launch and our first community engagement workshop. The workshop will be held on Tuesday, June 2 from 5 to 7 pm at the De Pere Community Center. To take our downtown survey please click the link below.

Intertwining Artist Spotlight — Willow Bayer

What is your favorite childhood memory? Willow Bayer uses collage to preserve moments that were deemed very precious at one point and turns these memories into new colorful worlds. Lately she has been going through her grandma’s photo album that is mostly from the 1940’s through the 1970’s to use as inspiration for her collages.

Intertwining Artist Spotlight — Kassie Corroy

Kassie’s silk screen prints are metaphors for emotional states that are fleeting, overwhelming, and invasive. Remnants of memory linger long after the moments have passed. This body of work uses insects as vessels to be consumed, endure, remain, and to be held in a state between loss and protection.

Intertwining Artist Spotlight — Shelby Stoddard

Art has the potential to be greatly impactful in a person’s life. From a young age, Shelby Stoddard used art to understand the world around her and to explore themes in childhood memories, feminism, human connection, and self-reflection. Shelby graduated recently with a degree in Studio Art and is pursuing a career in art education.
