💚 Alumni Day is moving to Friday, October 9, before and during the game!

We can’t control the weather, but we’re going to make the best of it! With the hurricane moving in and Saturday’s forecast not looking favorable, we’re moving our reunion to Friday night.

We hate to change plans, especially knowing we have alumni traveling from out of town. We felt Friday night would be the most accommodating option and hope everyone can still join us!

Join us October 31 at 6:00 PM for a fun night on The Hill! We’ll have Trunk or Treat, an outdoor movie, yard games, arts & crafts, photo ops, a hay maze, face painting & more!

👻 Want to host a trunk? We’d LOVE to have families, businesses, groups, and classes join us!

One thing about being part of a small school — there’s usually a small group of people behind the scenes doing a whole lot of work. 💚

Tonight — and yes, they’re still out there working — that group includes Matt Johnson and Hunter Hall, helping build the new outfield fence at our baseball field.

This is a project they, along with Stephen Hutcherson and Ben McDade, have been working on for the last several weeks, and it’s been so exciting to watch the progress. We can’t wait to see the finished product!

What makes it even more special is that all four of these guys are Kemper Academy graduates who are now sending their own children to KA and giving their time and talents back to a place they love.

So much of what happens at a small school happens because of people like this — people who put in the hours, often after a full day of work, with no expectation of recognition. They simply see something that needs to be done and step up because they care about this school and its future.

We are incredibly thankful for them and for all the people working behind the scenes at KA. There are lots of big things happening on The Hill, and it takes a lot of good people to make them happen. 💚

A milestone we have worked incredibly hard to reach. 💚

This week, the Kemper Academy PTA is investing $34,000 into the Gym Air Conditioning Project, and the equipment for Phase One is scheduled to be delivered and set by the end of this week!

This project is being completed in three phases, and we are incredibly excited to say that Phase One — the largest phase — is officially FUNDED! 🙌

We have worked extremely hard to get to this point. This has been a major goal for our PTA, and seeing the first phase become a reality is something we are incredibly proud of.

And we’re especially proud that we have been able to make this kind of investment while continuing to provide vital support to so many other programs, projects, and initiatives across our school. We haven’t stopped investing in our teachers, students, campus, or the everyday needs that make a difference at Kemper Academy while working toward this much larger goal.

None of that would be possible without the incredible support of our families, businesses, alumni, friends, and community. Thank you. Truly. Every fundraiser supported, sponsorship given, purchase made, donation received, and person who has stepped up has helped us reach this point.

But we’re not finished yet!

We still have two phases to fund, and this is a project our school truly needs. Air conditioning in our gym will make an enormous difference for our students, athletes, coaches, staff, families, and everyone who uses this space throughout the year.

🎄 Save the date—and vendors, sign up for your spot now!

Kemper Academy’s Christmas program and Santa event are December 8 at 6:00 p.m. This year, we’re adding an indoor holiday market, and we’re sharing the vendor application early so everyone has time to plan!

Booths are $30, and vendors may begin setting up at 4:00 p.m. Space is limited, so send in your application soon. Accepted vendors will receive an email confirmation with payment instructions and additional event details.

You’ll find the application in the comments, or email [email protected] and we’ll send you a copy.

Rams, it’s time to come home to the Hill! 💚

Kemper Academy Alumni Day is Saturday, October 10, starting at 2:00 p.m. Think of it as one big class reunion—come catch up with old friends, share KA memories, and see the familiar faces you’ve missed.

Want a spot for your class to gather? Tent spaces are free! Bring your own tent and reserve one or more 10′ × 10′ spots by emailing [email protected] with your graduating year, number of spots needed, and a contact name and phone number. Even if your class isn’t setting up a tent, we want to see you there!

You can also preorder a shrimp plate through Venmo . Put your name and “shrimp plate” in the note. Plates will be ready for pickup at 4:30 p.m.

We can’t wait to welcome you home! 🐏
