Frog Fellows, Toad Friends, and Yahara River Enthusiasts -

This Saturday!!!

The Friends of the Yahara River Headwaters will be holding our 2026 Annual Meeting on May 16th, starting at 10:00 AM at the Deforest Public Library.

The meeting will feature a presentation titled "Wisconsin Frogs & Toads - Experiences and insights from the 2025 Wisconsin Frog and Toad Survey".

Come and learn about how the frogs and toads of Wisconsin are doing! The presenter is Jeff Craig, a former Science Teacher and currently a Volunteer Citizen Scientist who participates in the Mink Frog Survey in northern Wisconsin, tracking surveys for the DNR Carnivore (wolf) Tracking Program, the Wisconsin Frog and Toad Survey, and is a Snapshot Wisconsin wildlife trail camera monitor
Following the presentation, we will have a brief update on the Friends and community conservation efforts.

The public is invited and welcome! We will have refreshments and door prizes!

Thank you again to all who were able to make it to our Spring Yahara River Clean-up! We had a lot of great volunteers who helped make the river more navigable and removed legacy trash from the river.

Special thanks to Windsor Breads Bakery & Coffeehouse for the amazing coffee and bakery items that helped fuel our volunteer efforts!
