We’re still searching for HOST FAMILIES for the 2026-2027 DeForest Area School District year!

We don’t wanna brag but the mama of our exchange student from last year called our Youth Exchange coordinators her 3️⃣ Fairy Godmothers ☺️. We did everything we could to ease fears of the exchange and stepped in to make sure our student, her family and her host families had all the support they needed.

At our March 18 meeting, we had the pleasure of welcoming Tricia Kleinsteiber, Community Coordinator for the Village of DeForest, as our guest speaker!

Tricia shared exciting details about DeForest's America 250 celebration and a very special community project — a collaborative mural made up of 600 individually painted tiles, each created by members of the community. Residents of all ages and artistic abilities are invited to participate, and workshops are already underway!

What a wonderful way to celebrate our nation's 250th anniversary while bringing the community together through art. 🎨

What a fantastic addition to our March 11 meeting! Our club had the pleasure of welcoming Jackie Falch, Director of Consumer Advocates at Call for Action, as our guest speaker — and she left us all knowing so much more than we did before! Jackie's insights into the work Call for Action does for consumers were eye-opening. We're grateful for her time and expertise!

🌍 Host an Exchange Student — Change a Life (and Yours!)

Our group is currently looking for welcoming families to host an international exchange student for the upcoming school year. This is a unique opportunity to bring the world into your home and create a lifelong connection across cultures.

Exchange students come fully vetted and insured, and Rotary provides guidance and support throughout the entire experience. You provide a safe, caring home environment — and in return, your family gains a new global perspective, meaningful friendships, and unforgettable memories.

You don’t need a special background — just an open heart and a spare bed.

If you’re interested or would like to learn more, please comment below or send me a message. We’d love to talk with you about what hosting is really like. Our direct email is [email protected]

Please share this post to help us find a great match for this student! 🌎💙
