This Monday!

SPRINGFIELD ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION MEMORIAL DAY WALK 2026

On Monday, May 25th, Memorial Day, the members of the Springfield Athletic Association (SAA) invite all residents to join them in their one-mile memorial walk in honor of past members and families who have passed away after many years of gracing the many fields and gymnasiums of our township.

The walk will begin RAIN OR SHINE at 8:30 AM sharp at Halderman Field on Springfield Road and end at Springfield High School where refreshments will be served for all participants in the walk. Along the one-mile walk, name signs of all of those past SAA members who have passed away will be displayed for all to view and pay homage to along the way.

This walk has been conducted for over 29 years and the initiative was started to coincide with Memorial Day activities in Springfield and yet, not to interfere in any way with the true meaning of Memorial Day itself which is to honor those who lost their lives serving our country. In fact, there are names posted of those who gave their lives in the service of their country and were also past members of the organization. On a day where great men and women who served our country are truly honored, the SAA invites everyone to join this walk to also honor the outstanding people who served Springfield Township so very well over their years with us. If anyone from the community has a past member’s name to be remembered, they can contact any director of the SAA and they will be added to the list of wonderful people who made the township a better one for their years of involvement and service to the youth of Springfield Township. It remains the organization’s commitment that they will never be forgotten.

Hi SAA Families,

We have decided to push back the launch of the new system until 2027, so we can start fresh and not make our members and Directors need to shuffle back and forth between two systems.

With that said, Fall and Winter Sports are now open and available to choose in your account.

As a reminder, if you have not played any Spring Sports you will still need to add 2026 Membership to your account.

You can login as normal here:

Thank you!
