The STEM with music Tour is designed to train and mentor college student interns in public relations, video production, and STEM related skills. The STEM Tour is a two-part program, the first being in school programs and workshops, and the second being the media promotion of the in-school events and college intern training, built around a group o
f motorsport events held in the United States and Canada. The motorsports events are part of the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge and the Pirelli Tire World Challenge The Tour uses this training and these events to present a live and entertaining concert-like program promoting STEM education principles to high school students across the country, hosted by the interns and built around a group of celebrities and tech Industry entrepreneurs’ video endorsements promoting STEM education, along with video highlights of the interns’ STEM activities with their mentors while on the tour. Each program is a live-In-person educational event live-streamed throughout the school district and capable of reaching approximately 40,000 high school students in most locations. The encore of each STEM with music event is the teacher and student Accelerator Workshops. Each teacher workshop will bring new and innovative ideas to the teachers to enhance student engagement with STEM education, while developing new ways to make STEM education come alive in their classroom. AdvancED will develop and present these workshops as part of the Tour program. The student Accelerator Tech Boot Camps are leadership incubators for women and minority students, focusing on underrepresented, high-potential students, providing them with the resources and engagement to see the opportunities that STEM education can provide them. The Boot Camps are hosted by the interns within the program and are being developed by STEM educational professionals, integrating the STEM learning experience to high school students and teachers across the country. We intend to stay connected to the students, the teachers, and school administrations with ever-engaging programing, entertainment, and innovative educational activities. In addition to the in-school programs we’ll be attending a number of Motorsports Festivals events, this is where the rubber meets the road for our College Interns
The Tour Team will be attending a number of IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge and the Pirelli World Challenge events as part of the STEM with music Tour. Here is where our college interns and our fans get to be the center of the attention during these fun filled weekends. Festival weekends are jam packed with non-stop fun and excitement, these events are staged in some of the most picturesque country settings in North America. From the Beaches at Daytona to the hillsides of Road Atlanta, to foothills of Monterey California’s Laguna Seca’s Mazda’s Raceway Park, to Austin’s Circuit of the Americas what more could you ask for. You can come for the day or stay for the weekend, there’s camping, a place to park your RV or just hang out in a park like setting, enjoy a picnic in the shade of a large oak tree. It’s a fun filled adventure that your whole family will enjoy. You’ll get to hang out and meet a lot of fun and interesting people, learn a little about STEM and make memories that will last a lifetime. Team, experience some of the same excitement that High School student all across the country are experiencing with the STEM with music’s live in-school performances. We’ll have a little music, there’ll be large screen video presentations of all our activities and workshops, along with demonstrations and displays, you’ll get a behind the scenes glimpse of how we bring all this to life for High School Students across the country. If you’re lucky you might even meet Celebrity or two for that special selfie
Throughout the day and all weekend you’ll get to see our STEM college interns in action, they’ll be busy from the first rumble of the cars before practice to the final lap of the race, sometimes even working late into the night with their teams. They’ll be making critical decisions that affect their team’s performance, strategizing with other engineers, all the while communicating the team’s strategy to the drivers during these hard–fought competitions in an attempt to bring their car home ahead the competition. All this action will be cover by our video production crew. There are over 25 different auto manufactures with some 40 different makes with cars and drivers from all across the globe competing in these events. The competition level in these series has never been greater, you’ll see some of the best racing in the world. You’ll see Chevrolet, Ford, Dodge, Nissan, Honda, Kia, Hyundai, Volkswagen go head to head with BMW, Audi, Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Bentley, Aston Martin, McLaren, and Mercedes-Benz. Wow you won’t see exciting cars like this at mall parking lot. At each of these events you’ll have the chance to get up close to the action, talk with the drivers, the engineers, even our every own STEM Interns Engineers, get autographs, or a special selfie, all the while getting an up close look at all the cars. STEM with music’s goal is to change the lives of High School and College Students all across the country one student at a time.
