Rounding out with a look at the way we can in our very own community! Dietitians Stacey Scrabis, Tasha Brickhouse, Sara Humbert, along the Nutrition Services Director and Chef Danny Carrico served up soup during The Neighborhood Center of West Volusia’s Empty Bowls fundraiser to kick off the month early.

Food, being the among the most fundamental needs for life, speaks of giving life to someone. It was such a joy to be part of this event again.

Registered dietitians can be a valuable resource to help you manage kidney disease! RDN’s can help you make smart food choices and teach you how to manage the disease through good nutrition.
People with kidney disease may need to limit their sodium intake - sodium is found in salt and many packaged foods, so it’s very important to look at the nutrition facts label for sodium content! Potassium may also need to be limited, and since it is found in a variety of food sources, an RDN can help you stay within your limits ⭐️
