The Florida Smooth Jazz Foundation Inc., a Florida nonprofit corporation, is a 501(c)(3) public charity that was founded in 2005, organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. The Foundation promotes and produces music events for the greater good of the community. Two annual merit scholarships were sponsored by the Foundation for jazz ensemble music students of Easter

n Florida State College and multiple annual merit scholarships are now sponsored for music students of Daytona State College. The Foundation has been involved in the promotion, production, and financial support of numerous concerts throughout Florida since 2005, including artists such as Brian Culbertson, Chris Botti, Boney James, Marcus Miller, the Rippingtons featuring Russ Freeman, Dave Koz, Gerald Albright, Norman Brown, Eric Darius, Mindi Abair, Chuck Loeb, Kim Waters, Peter White, Jonathan Butler, Everette Harp, Rick Braun, Jeff Golub, Nick Colionne, Paul Taylor, Jeff Kashiwa, Acoustic Alchemy, Ottmar Liebert, Keiko Matsui, Maysa, Warren Hill, Euge Groove, Jackiem Joyner, Steve Oliver, Eric Darius, Marc Antoine, the Yellowjackets, Eric Marienthal, and Jeff Lorber, as well as Charlie Daniels, Peter Frampton, Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard, The Florida Smooth Jazz Cruises of 2009 and 2011, The Florida Smooth Jazz Weekend since 2015 the Daytona Jazz Weekend since 2021, Rick Braun's New Year's Eve, and the Clearwater Smooth Jazz Jam at Ruth Eckerd Hall.

One of our favorite moments of DJW is the Artist Q&A on Sunday morning. Itā€™s a chance for us to hear the stories behind the artists and the music. This is a clip of telling her story on how after having a movie director explain his ā€œimageā€ of the soundtrack for a movie how the melody came to her. She says itā€™s a lesson on being able to receive and how she ā€˜catchesā€™ the melodies. Enjoy. āœØ
