November’s tournament filled our hearts. We came together in a new city, new venue, but with the same purpose: holding space for Black golfers while supporting young scholars. Thank you for showing up with so much L.O.V.E.!

What an unforgettable weekend at the Vernon Echols Memorial Classic — sunshine, fellowship, and swings for the love of the game! ☀️🏌🏾‍♀️🏌🏽‍♂️

This year’s tournament was extra special as we were interviewed by Jack Pagano and featured in The Tampa Post! 📰✨ Pagano highlighted the heart of our mission: honoring Vernon Echols’ legacy and uplifting the African American community through the game of golf.

From our loyal travelers who return year after year to our first-time players—thank you for showing up with joy, generosity, and community spirit. This tournament is more than golf… it’s legacy, love, and giving back to our youth. ❤️

Cheyenne Woods

Cheyenne Woods the niece of Tiger Woods is a native of Phoenix, Ariz. and competes on both the LPGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour, where she won the 2014 Australian Ladies Masters. In her 2019 season debut on the Ladies European Tour, Woods placed 15th at the Fatima Bint Mubarak Open at Troon-managed Saadiyat Beach Golf Club in the United Arab Emirates. 💚

Last weekend was a weekend to remember. It marked the first memorial tournament, after the passing of our founder, Vernon L. Echols. We would like to say thank you for the continuing support of our members, volunteers, community, and friends. 💚

Last week marked the 22nd annual Vernon Echols Memorial Classic. Players from around the country came to the beautiful LGPA International golf course, to fellowship and compete in the largest and longest standing African American golf tournament in the US. Huge thank you to all the guests, the L.O.V.E. Golftech committee members, and the for making this year a success!
