What a piece of s**t... no one should ever vote for this idiot! To suggest a deputy faked getting shot or got shot on purpose to keep you from a meeting is asinine. We had never heard of you but I can promise you will not be getting any support from our Deputies.

Would love to know what Jason Voelz-Florida State Senate- District 8 Candidate is talking about here.

Sure sounds like he thinks yesterday’s shooting of a Volusia Sheriff's Office deputy was a conspiracy to delay his big appearance at a Deltona commission meeting.

All I know is we don’t need someone this clueless and useless anywhere near whatever public office he’s running for now.

Well said Chief Young! There was absolutely nothing wrong with this traffic stop, and we commend our deputy for taking the time to check on his Daytona Beach Police Department brothers to make sure they were not in need of assistance. Mayor Henry should issue an immediate and complete apology to the officers and deputy involved.

We are thankful for all the First Responders who work tirelessly year round to keep our community safe!

As has been tradition for over a decade, Volusia County Deputies Association, IUPA Local 6035 provided meals for all the deputies working on Thanksgiving Day.

A couple shifts have sent pictures as they shared a meal between the calls for service.
