We celebrated our FBHonors students from Westside Elementary and David C. Hinson Sr. Middle School last night and recognized their many outstanding accomplishments. They also enjoyed a delicious Olive Garden dinner and dessert. Thank you, Olive Garden, for partnering with us to create a great experience for the students!

Through FBHonors, Food Brings Hope provides dedicated academic enrichment opportunities designed to equip these bright young students with the tools, confidence, and experiences needed to succeed while exposing them to advanced STEM learning. We are so proud of all they have achieved this year and look forward to seeing all they continue to accomplish in the future! 💙

This past week, Healthy Living in 32114 members got their Zen on during a beginner’s yoga class led by Melissa Smith of Renew Yoga. Participants learned a relaxing series of stretches they can practice at home — either from a chair or on a yoga mat — while discovering some of the many benefits yoga can offer for both mind and body.

The evening began with shopping at our weekly Fresh Market, where members loaded up on free fresh fruits and vegetables before settling into a peaceful yoga practice. As an added bonus, our yogis enjoyed a special visit from Commissioner Quanita May, a healthy snack, and took home a yoga block along with a bag of pantry staples.

Through the support of Florida Blue Foundation, FBH Community continues working to reduce food insecurity while improving the health and wellness of our friends and neighbors in 32114 and surrounding communities. Thank you to our volunteers and community partners for helping us move the needle toward better health.

🥬 Our next Fresh Market is Tuesday, May 26.
📍 Our next Healthy Living event is a Health Screening on June 23.

Both events take place at the Dickerson Community Center.
