❄ The extreme cold continues ❄

These bitterly cold temperatures can be dangerous, especially for older adults.

Dr. John Weigand, AGE’s medical director, reminds us:
“Older adults are more prone to cold weather injury including frostbite and hypothermia, a potentially life-threatening condition related to low body temperature, due to decreased circulation in their arms and legs.”

Stay warm. Stay safe.
✔ Wear several layers of clothing
✔ Keep outdoor trips short
✔ Stay indoors whenever possible
