We save dogs from puppy mills and overcrowded shelters, as well as owner surrenders Luv4K9s is a 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue that is run entirely by volunteers.

Our goal is to find "forever families" for our very deserving dogs. Our dogs range from owner released dogs to abandoned, abused, and puppy mill rescues. We also take in dogs that are deemed "not adoptable" by shelters to give them a safe haven where they will receive medical care, nutrition, and love until an approved home is found. Luv4K9s wants to reduce the number of unwanted pets by altering all dogs in our re-homing program. We also strive to educate the public about the importance of altering pets and explaining that owning a pet is a LIFELONG commitment. Luv4K9s is run entirely by volunteers. Female French Bulldog and Boston Terrier Mix rescued from a breeder.

Hi there! My name is Sunflower, and I'm on a very important mission: to find my forever cuddle station!
My foster mom and dad tell me I'm the sweetest Boston Terrier/Frenchie they've ever met. My daily routine includes a cheerful morning stretch, a little zoomie session in the yard, and then it's serious business time: eating, napping, snuggling, and giving the very best kisses.
I'm a great big sister too! I get along great with other dogs/cats/kids.
My ideal home would have:
• Someone who gives excellent belly rubs.
• A comfy spot on the couch reserved just for me.
• A fenced yard, patient family, and someone who has lots of love and attention to give.
I promise to provide endless love, loyal companionship, and a lifetime supply of goofy smiles.

Pupdate on Daisy (left)…she is settling in well… gets along with all the dogs. She went to daycare one day last week and they said Daisy did great. Made some new dog friends. She loves to go on walks with her new sisters! Here’s a picture of all 3 of them!

UPDATE: Daisy has been adopted by a previous adopter with 2 other Pomeranians!

Daisy is a 9yr old (5-17-2017) female Pomeranian that is spayed and up to date on all vaccines, heartworm and flea and tick meds. She is good with people and other dogs. She is house trained, crate trained, walks good on a leashShe listens well, loves to ride in the car and is very food oriented. If multiple dogs in the household, she will need to be fed in her crate as she will finish hers and try to finish all of the others too.

She was adopted from us in 2018, and after her owner passed away, relatives tried to keep her, as they really love her. However, she is too nervous around small children. They worked with her and their 2 yr old for several months, but decided that with another baby due in 2 weeks, surrendering her was in her best interest.

She is a good girl and deserves a forever home to live out her golden years. A home with a fenced yard and NO children under 10 is a must for her.

We are sad to hear about the passing of Renee Riegel with Greater Dayton Labrador Retriever Rescue. Our director goes back many years with Renee working together to rescue dogs. Please keep her family and friends in your thoughts. Thank you Renee for your years of dedication to rescue.

Friends, it is with a heavy, broken heart that I have to tell you that Renee Riegel, founder and president of Greater Dayton Labrador Retriever Rescue, has passed away today😢 While the rescue world has lost a loving, dedicated woman, those of us who knew her well are grieving right now. Please keep Renee's family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Thank you for your support of the rescue and of Renee throughout the many years she spent saving thousands of dogs.🙏

Where are our Poodle lovers?

Hi everyone. My name is Junebug but my foster mom calls me Junie or sometimes Junie B Jones (I dont know why she calls me that). I am 4 years old and looking for my forever home. Let me tell you about myself: I LOVE curling up with my foster mom - the more attention the better. When I am not being petted by her, I am on the couch - that is my spot. I take my favorite toys there, I like to eat my treats there (did I tell you I LOVE treats), and I often nap there. Being outside is something I also enjoy. I happily go out the doggy door and run the yard, chase the squirrels, and hang with the other 2 fur babies who live here. I am happy to play with other dogs but also ok as the only dog - that way I will get extra pets. I also like taking walks on a leash and smelling new things. My foster mom says sometimes I pick up too many things around the house (socks, gloves, paper, clothes, etc.) I am getting better about that and when foster mom goes places, I try to leave things alone. I am a good eater - I like a little topper on my kibble - but who doesnt 🙂 I would be an awesome new roommate. Just give me a chance.
