The Dayton Valley Dog Park wants to thank you to all our members and patrons who donated to Operation Hungry Hounds. Yesterday we delivered 50 bags of dog food to the Dayton Food Pantry donated by Grocery Outlet of Dayton. Thank you to all our sponsors, Chewy, Petco, Bensons Feed store in Carson city, Curves Dayton NV, Ace Hardware in Carson city, NV, VFW Post 8071 Virginia City Nevada 89440 and everyone else to help our low income folks in this area feed their pets!

!!!URGENT NOTICE TO ALL OUR PATRONS!!!
THE ALL-BREED AREA OF THE DOG PARK REMAINS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

We received notice today that visitors were bringing their dogs onto the newly installed grass. This was a project that cost over $60,000 and took eight years of work to fund. The new grass needs time to establish before it can handle people and dog traffic.

Please utilize the Large Dog and Small Dog areas only. An announcement will be made when it is determined that the All-Breed area will re-open.

Thanks to the hard work of Cassinelli Landscaping & Construction and grant support received from the Brown Family Foundation all of the new turf has been installed in the All-Breed area of the park.

Now that the primary work is complete, access to the Large dog area is available through the Main gate on Old Como Rd. Access to the Small dog area is available through the Como Park gate on Old Dayton Valley Rd. The All-Breed area will remain closed until the newly installed grass is ready to handle traffic.

Thanks to EVERYONE who contributed to Operation Hungry Hounds. Even though it is officially complete, we are still gathering the totals and will get final numbers our as soon as we can! Thanks so much to our Corporate Sponsors: Chewy, Grocery Outlet of Dayton, PetSmart... together with the community contributions, I am SURE we've made our goal!

Just a couple more days left for Operation: Hungry Hounds. Our goal is to get 1000 lbs of pet food for the Dayton Valley Pantry so we can support low income and homeless folks in the Dayton Valley area feed their pets.
