Abolition Ohio

Abolition Ohio Anti-Human Trafficking Coalition. Founded 2011. Mission: To stir society’s conscience to action against all forms of trafficking and slavery.

Abolition Ohio was inspired by the Dayton Human Trafficking Accords conference, convened by the University of Dayton in November 2009. Its mission is guided by the conference’s final Declaration regarding society’s moral responsibility to abolish human trafficking and free slaves from their captivity. It is committed to the abolition of all forms of human trafficking – labor trafficking, sex traf

ficking, debt bondage and all other forms of modern-day slavery. Abolition Ohio’s activities are principally concentrated in Ohio’s Miami Valley, but it also proactively collaborates with other national and state governmental, intergovernmental, and civil society organizations engaged in the global abolitionist movement.

Want to strike a blow for survivors of human trafficking? Come join us on March 7th in Dayton for the annual SOAP up the First Four - our volunteer effort to place important information in hotels to help victims become survivors and thrivers! Strategically timed before the First Four of the NCAA tournament, this effort will place information in most of the area's major hotels. We are also branching out to place materials in area shelters. The more people who help, the more we spread the word that WE WILL NOT STAND IDLE WHILE TRAFFICKERS PROFIT OFF OF THE PAIN OF OUR PEOPLE!
