Location: Meeting will be Hybrid via Zoom and Room 1 at the Hilliard Library, 4500 Hickory Chase Way, Hilliard, Ohio

Come with your book ideas and get ready to brainstorm/plot in small group sessions, Each person has a turn to share where they could use group help brainstorming anything. For example, are you: Stuck somewhere?
Got a plot hole that swallowed a bus and want ideas how to drive out of it?
Need ideas for events to occur in the plot?
Worried about your characters’ wound and whether it’s strong enough to drive the novel?
Want a general sounding board?
Then come for the plotting/brainstorming! Being in person is highly recommended. Those on Zoom will perform this exercise in a Zoom room.

Hello Dayton WriMos!

You may have noticed that we changed the name of this group. We owe you an explanation. The organization NaNoWriMo has been going through a very difficult period, made some questionable decisions, has lost key staff, and (from what we have seen) become unresponsive to ML (Municipal Liaison) applications, putting in jeopardy the preparation for this upcoming November. The result is a lot of confusion. But this Dayton community of “Wrimos” is strong, and we want to make sure it continues to function and grow while the future of the central organization of NaNoWriMo is in question.

A group of dedicated WriMos and former MLs with whom you are familiar have joined together to focus on this November and potential beyond. The members of this group are: Rochelle Bradley (ML RochelleBradley), Marissa Dimiduk (ML Thrushheart), Sarah Wacksmuth (ML Xenostitch), Celeste Mitchell, Daniele Niccole Griffis, and Chelsea Jordan Schroder. Together, the group we are forming will be called Dayton Chapters.

We will be creating a structure similar to the structure of the Dayton NaNoWriMo group you know and love. We will be limited to Social Media, and as such you will need to keep your eyes here for announcements. In the coming weeks you can expect to see news about November writing prep, November Kickoff, Midway Party, and of course the T.G.I.O. Celebration.

For now, please bear with us as we organize.
