Whose stories are we telling? Whose voices are we honoring?
The conversations sparked by Indigenous Peoples’ Day should extend beyond a single day.
Representation matters. The stories we tell shape what we value, whose knowledge we recognize, and the learning communities we build.
As educational leaders, we must question whose histories are represented, whose perspectives are missing, and how we can challenge stereotypes and historical erasure while learning from Indigenous-led perspectives.
At Whole School Leadership, we believe meaningful change requires moving beyond awareness toward accountability and action.
Awareness is a beginning. Accountability is part of the work. Action is how we move forward.

Transforming self, community, and society begins with what we choose to learn, what we challenge, and how we lead.
