We are Pets of Ohio Rescue Team, and our mission is simple: save as many lives as possible.

But saving lives takes more than pulling animals from shelters. We believe in progressive sheltering and being part of the solution to a much bigger community problem. That means helping animals before they enter the shelter system, supporting shelters that are overwhelmed, providing resources and behavior support, and giving animals who are struggling the time and care they need to find their way home.

We believe fostering saves lives. We believe adoption changes lives. And we believe our community has the power to create a better future for animals.

PORT is here to help our community, but we need our community to help us, too. ❤️

🐶 Lottie — a sweet Lab mix

All three are reportedly incredibly sweet and are coming to us from another shelter here in Ohio. We need loving foster homes or adoptive families ready to give these babies a place to land by TOMORROW!

That’s right. We have been sending some absolutely incredible dogs off to their forever families, and somehow we have been keeping these precious adoption photos to ourselves?! The audacity. The betrayal. We sincerely apologize. 😂❤️

🚨 WE ARE FULL—AND THE REQUESTS KEEP COMING. 🚨

Every day, more dogs need somewhere safe to go. PORT is here to help our community, but we cannot do it without fosters in our community stepping up.

We have so many wonderful dogs waiting for foster homes. Which one can stay with you?

🐾 CHEVY: A 1½-year-old neutered male Lab/Shepherd mix who has done well with dogs and kids.

🐾 PUFFIN: A sweet senior who is housetrained, crate-trained, and has done well with kids and everyone he has met. He is currently sitting alone in a kennel when he could be snuggling in a home.

🐾 STORM: A 2-year-old spayed female Boxer mix who is housetrained, crate-trained, and has done well with dogs and kids.

🐾 RAZZLE: A 7-month-old Shepherd mix puppy who has done well with dogs, kids, and cats.

🐾 SNICKERS: A 1-year-old male brindle mix who has done well with dogs and cats.

🐾 MATER: An 8-month-old Boxer mix puppy who is crate-trained and has done well with dogs and kids.

🐾 BROOKE: A 9-month-old black Shepherd mix who has done well with dogs and appears to be housetrained and crate-trained.

🐾 FLYNN: A beautiful, sweet 3-year-old white pup who has done well with dogs and is housetrained and crate-trained.

🐾 FLOPSY: A 2-month-old male Blue Heeler mix who is crate-trained and has done well with dogs, cats, and kids.

🐾 BEAR: A 2-year-old Pittie mix who has been one of our playgroup helpers! He has done well with dogs and is incredibly affectionate and snuggly.

🐾 FRECKLES: A 3-year-old Cattle Dog who has done well with dogs, cats, and kids.

🐾 GUS: A 1-year-old black Lab mix who has done well with dogs and kids. He has that super-fun family-dog energy!

🐾 RIKER: A really great 2-year-old Lab mix who is crate-trained and has done well with dogs and kids.

🐾 ZEKE: A gentle 4-year-old Rottweiler mix who is housetrained, crate-trained, and has done well with dogs and kids.

🐾 LEELAND: A 6-year-old yellow Lab who has done well with dogs. He is a sweet, gentle snuggler.

🐾 SUNSHINE: SMALL DOG ALERT! Sunshine is a fun and spunky 1-year-old lady who loves cuddles but also loves to zoom! She has done well with kids.
