❤️ Kareena isn't your average pup, but that's exactly what makes her so special! ❤️

Kareena is looking for a very special kind of home, and we know her perfect match is out there!

This sweet girl has so much love to give, but she's the kind of dog who believes the best relationships are built on trust. She isn't going to be everyone's instant best friend, and that's okay! Once you're in her circle, you're IN, and you'll have a loyal, affectionate companion who absolutely adores you.

Kareena has so many wonderful qualities that make her an amazing companion!

🐾 Fully potty trained
🐾 Comfortable being home alone during a typical 8-hour workday
🐾 Medium energy — loves long walks and backyard adventures but appreciates a cozy night in
🐾 Happily entertains herself with her favorite chew toys
🐾 A total snuggle bug who loves kisses and sleeping beside her favorite person

So what makes Kareena a little different?

Kareena is a girl who knows what she's comfortable with! She takes her time building relationships and prefers to approach new people on her own terms. She thrives when her boundaries are respected and she's given the opportunity to build trust at her own pace.

Kareena is looking for a female-only home where she can feel safe, understood, and loved. She's uncomfortable around men, so we're looking for a home that fits her needs rather than expecting her to become a dog she's not.

And that's the beautiful thing about Kareena. She doesn't need to be everyone's dog. She just needs to be someone's everything. ❤️

We know her ideal home may be a little harder to find, but we also know that the right person is going to see Kareena for the incredible companion she already is.

Could you be Kareena's person? Or do you know someone who might be?

💙 Meet Gamma! Your future lap dog and professional cuddle buddy!

Gamma is a big sweetheart with a BIG personality! This handsome boy loves his people and wants nothing more than to be wherever you are. Working from home? Perfect. Need a napping buddy? Even better. Personal space? Not Gamma’s specialty! 😂

Once he settles in and feels comfortable, his affectionate, playful personality really shines. He’s the kind of dog who wants to be part of your everyday life and will happily keep you company through it all.

✨ A few things to love about Gamma:

🐾 1 yr old male, 35lb mixed breed, neutered, UTD on vaccinations
🐾Sweet, affectionate, and full of personality
🐾 Has shown a gentle, patient side with his foster family’s little one
🐾 Professional cuddle buddy who loves being close to his people
🐾 Making great progress with potty training (and celebrating ZERO accidents!)
🐾 Doing well with a two-meal-a-day routine
🐾 Not possessive of his food
🐾 Enjoys having room to hang out and be part of the household
🐾 Playful, people-loving, and ready to bond with his forever family

Gamma has so much love to give, and we think he’ll thrive with a family who wants a loyal companion to share their days with. If you’re looking for a best friend who will make you laugh, keep you company, and try his very best to fit his whole self in your lap, Gamma might just be your guy! 💙

🖤 SKIPPER DESERVES HIS FOREVER 🖤

Skipper’s foster mom has decided to post him every single day until he gets adopted, and we decided to post him too! This boy is SO loved and beyond ready for a family of his own.

Skipper comes equipped with all the essentials of a great house dog:

🐾 Crate trained
🐾 Potty trained
🐾 Non-destructive
🐾 Understands household boundaries
🐾 Thriving alongside both a male and female dog in foster care

So why is this sweet boy still waiting?

Black dogs are often overlooked in shelters, a phenomenon commonly called 🖤Black Dog Syndrome🖤 While there isn’t one definitive statistic that applies to every shelter, black dogs can face longer waits for adoption. Skipper deserves to be seen for the amazing dog he is, not passed over because of the color of his coat.

He’s already proving what a wonderful companion he can be in a real home. He’s settled, well-mannered, dog-friendly, and READY. There is no reason this boy should still be waiting for his happily ever after.

Basics:
🖤 Male, mixed breed
🖤 Approximately 50 lbs
🖤 Neutered

Pets of Ohio Rescue Team (PORT) is dedicated to giving dogs a second chance, especially those who need a little extra help finding their people.

Please share Skipper. His forever family is out there, and we need to help them find each other. 🖤
